Merino wool by nature is self-cleaning and does not need to be washed as frequently as other fabrics. To refresh and reduce washing, air the garment often.
- Machine wash: Close zipper. Wash on Low, 100°F /40°C max
- Use wool or mild detergent.
- Line-dry clothing and blankets. Sleep bags can be tumble dried on No Heat or Air Dry settings.
Important: Ensure that the zipper is closed during the wash otherwise you may experience damage to the wool lining.
Pilling is a natural process that is inherent in merino fabric due to the fact that merino is a staple fiber. The best way to avoid pilling is to wash a new merino wool product after the first couple of wears. The pilling will diminish over time and with each washing as non-tenacious wool fibers work themselves free of the fabric and break away.
