How To Wash Merino Wool Sleep Bags and Clothing

Merino wool by nature is self-cleaning and does not need to be washed as frequently as other fabrics. To refresh and reduce washing, turn garment inside-out and air often.

It is not necessary to wash your Woolino garments prior to use.

  • Machine wash: Close zipper. Wash on Low, 100°F /40°C max
  • If hand wash: Gently soak and squish in lukewarm water. Do not agitate or rub wool against wool
  • Use wool or mild detergent (we recommend Kookaburra). Use minimal amount of detergent
  • Do not soak
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not use fabric conditioners and softeners
  • Line-dry in shade is recommended. Sleeping bags can be tumble dried on No Heat or Air Dry setting. Do not tumble dry blankets and clothing
  • Iron on "Wool" or "Cool" setting. Do not iron on labels

Important: Ensure that the zipper is closed during the wash otherwise you may experience damage to the wool lining.
